Welcome to the Physics Department
The Physics Department in Hamilton Grammar supports pupils through their exploration of our Universe.
Through experimentation and critical thinking pupils gain knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles of the physical world. From everyday electricity to Space exploration, pupils learn the part Physics plays in their lives and in industry.
Physics in S3

Pupils have the opportunity to choose Physics during the S2 options process, for study in S3.
The S3 course represents the foundation for the Senior Phase courses we offer from S4-6. |

In S4-6, pupils have options to choose from, which provide a natural progression in the subject.

- National 5 Physics
- Higher Physics
